Sheriff DiPaola believes training is the key to success.  New recruits participate in a rigorous twenty-one week training academy to prepare them physically, intellectually and emotionally.

Along with physical conditioning recruits learn full law enforcement shills and take classes such as: Criminal Law, Foreign Language skills, Communication skills, Disorder Management and many more.

All employees are encouraged to seek other training and pursue educational opportunities. In addition, an annual mandatory 40-hour management training program ensures constant staff development.
